Creating Opportunities for Respectful Environments (CORE) Committee

Purpose, goals, and desired outcomes:

  • To propose and prioritize policy, strategies, and tactics to support Âé¶¹´«Ã½'s commitments to treating all persons with dignity and respect as reflected in the Strategic Framework, the Statement of Values, and the Policy Framework.
  • To promote, develop, and prepare Âé¶¹´«Ã½ members to build and sustain teams and work cultures that respectful.
  • To serve as a resource to Chapter groups and directors on matters related to building chapter communities and hosting events where all persons are treated with dignity and respect.

Deliverable(s):

  • Guidance to chapters on Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Organizational Values and Position Statements, event and program planning, and communications.
  • New workplan for FY25-FY26.
  • Focus25 education session content that is relevant to the theme and the learning level of participants;
  • ABOUT US2025 education session content that is relevant to the conference theme;
  • Content for 2025 Leaders Summit;
  • MCX content.

Duration:
One year, no term limits.

Time commitment:
Monthly committee calls (1 hour); participation at national meetings (twice a year).

Eligibility:
Âé¶¹´«Ã½ member in good standing.

Requirements:
Knowledge of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ and general knowledge of design and construction industry and future trends.

Key success measurements:
Progress against charge(s); as reported to the board.

Committee/task force make up:
Chaired by a Voting Director; others appointed by the Chair of the Board of Directors.

Resources available to complete the project or task:
Resources identified by committee as part of meeting charge.
